Round up Of Term 3 week 8

The children continue to enjoy Tuesday's Hip Hop sessions. Only one more session to go.

Near the end of the session the children get the opportunity to have a free dance.

On Wednesday the children really enjoyed the visit from the Police Officers. When I asked them to tell me what they said--'You can't drink alcohol and drive!' They did come up with the importance of being in booster seats. Thank you to you all for helping them with their homework on Thursday night. The most important thing to come out of 'Keeping Ourselves Safe' for this class is to know their address and phone number. For many it is a work in progress.

This week we welcome Kelly Sheard a Teachers college student. She will be with us for this week and for a further 6 weeks in Term 4. On Tuesday I will be out of the classroom for a planning day with the rest of the Rutherford Team to plan for next term.  

On Wednesday as part of 'Keeping Ourselves Safe' we have a Fireman visiting us--Simon Ralph.

Round up of  Term 3 weeks 6 and 7

My apologies for no blog last week!! My laptop' hard drive died. 

Hip Hop began last week. The children are loving it!

In our Writing last week and this week we have been spending time on 'Freeze Framing'. This is to help the children  explore what the characters were thinking and feeling. Last week we spent time om 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. This week it was Goldilocks and the 3 Bears.

Carter and Zoe are part of this freeze frame. They are pretending to be the 'Big Billy Goat Gruff'.

This week we had Devon and Freya start school, that brings us up to 18. 

Next week is a normal week. We started a new topic this week on 'Keeping Ourselves safe'. We have talked about what  'Safe' means and today we discussed what things make us feel 'unsafe/scared'.  The children have drawn places where they feel. These are on display in the classroom.
